Head Coach, Nick Markle

  • When Nick Markle was hired, there were 60 applicants for the head coaching position of the historic program. 
  • The prior Union City head coach, Darren Bowling had won four state titles and 116 games in 12 seasons.
  • This is Markle's sixth season as head coach of Union City.  He had previously been an assistant at Union City during a prior tenure.
  • As a head coach, Markle is 44-21 at Union City and 71-37 overall.
  • In 2022, Markle was chosen as coach for the West Tennessee All-Star Game.
