LATEST UPDATE: Rocket senior Rodney Robertson, the team's strongest player and record-setting running back, will have surgery Thursday on his hand which was injured in last week's loss against Lone Oak. Doctors will put a plate over the broken bone in his hand.
Robertson is a three-time Ironman competition winner, the contest the team holds prior to season that determines strength, speed and agility.
Robertson broke the middle metacarpal bone in his left hand. He saw a doctor Monday afternoon who recommended surgery.
It appears that he will be out for at least six weeks.
