While X-rays Friday night confirmed that senior running back Rodney Robertson indeed broke the middle metacarpals bone in his left hand, it's still unclear what the long- or short-term prognosis will be.
Robertson was wearing a soft cast on the hand and forearm, and his left arm in a sling Saturday. He was unable to see a doctor this weekend and plans to do so Monday. At that time, it will become clearer whether Robertson will be able to play again this season.
If he is able to play, he will certainly be wearing a cast, which would limit his offensive effectiveness.
It's highly unlikely that Robertson will be able to play next week at Calloway County.
