Ballard beats Caverna 48-15 to set up trip to Marion

Cashing in on three early turnovers, Ballard Memorial jumped to a 20-0 lead and went on to a 48- 15 victory over Caverna for a Class A playoff road victory. The win sets up a rematch against Crittenden County in the Class A First Region semifinal round next week.

The Bombers picked off five Caverna passes and forced six turnovers in the game. Quar- terback Alex Mallory threw four touchdowns passes to lead the Bombers, three of them to Stephen Pullen. 

Ballard also came up with 508 yards of offense with Mal- lory passing for 274 and Tay- lor Edging rushing for 146. The defense held Caverna to 14 rushing yards for the night.
