Week 4 Review

Last week, the leader in receiving yards for CC was Dylan Hollis with 103.  The leading passer for the Rockets, Nick Castiller, only had 73 yards passing (Noah Dickerson had the other 30 yards passing). The last time a Rocket receiver had 100 or more yards receiving and no Rocket QB had at least 100 yards passing was the third round of the 2002 playoffs when Cody Hunt had 101 yards receiving and Sean Thompson was the leading passer with 82 yards.

Lane Wallace scored his 16th career rushing touchdown last week. This moves him into a tie with Denis Hodge for the 15th most rushing touchdowns scored in school history.  Next up on the list are Sean Thompson and Donny Beverly with 18 each.

CC is averaging 16.8 first downs this season.  No CC team has averaged more than 14.6 in the past 21 seasons.

The 103 yards receiving by Dylan Hollis was the first time since round 1 of the playoffs during the 2011 season that a CC receiver had 100 or more yards receiving.  Dustin Hernandez had 113 yards receiving in that game.

Nick Castiller caused two fumbles in last week's game.  The last player to cause two fumbles in a game was Josh Ipock in 2007 against Webster County.  Nathan Heady holds the school record with 3 caused fumbles in a game.  He accomplished the feat twice in the same season (2001).

Other Notes
Lane Wallace is currently on pace for 1100 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns during the regular season.

CC is 3-0 this season when Lane Wallace scores at least one rushing touchdown.

CC is 16-2 in the last 18 games when they have rushed for at least 200 yards.  The losses were in 2011 to Union County and this season to Union County.

CC is 1-19 in the last 20 games when they have allowed 300 total yards of offense.  The lone win was against Fulton City this season when CC gave up 364 total yards.
