The record for tackles by a sophomore is 102 by Wompie Stewart in 1983 with the 2nd most being 75 by Brian Berry (2008).

Week 1 Wrap-Up
The CC defense held Todd County Central to 88 rushing yards on 40 attempts. That is the second time in the last 116 games the Rockets have held their opponent to under 100 yards rushing when the opponent has 40 or more rushing attempts in a single game.  Opponents have had at least 40 attempts 15 times during that period.

Rocket QB Nick Castiller rushed for over 100 yards and passed for over 200 yards.  Single game stats are only available from 1994 to present and no two players, never mind one, have accomplished these two feats in the same game.  It is believed that this is the first time a player has rushed for 100 yards and passed for 200 yards in a single game in school history.

Nick Castiller became the second QB in Rocket football history to pass for more than 200 yards in a game twice. Austin Berry is the other Rocket player to accomplish the feat and he did it 7 times.
The Rockets scored 15 points in the 2nd quarter last week.  They have only scored more than that in the 2nd quarter once in the last 42 games (2014, Fulton City, Week 1, 17 Points).
The last time a Rocket Quarterback passed for 200 or more yards in a game was in week 5 of last season when Nick Castiller passed for 251 yards against Muhlenberg County.  Prior to that, that last 200 yard passer was in week 6 of the 2005 season when Austin Berry passed for 241 yards.  That was 100 games ago.

The 361 rushing yards put by the Rockets in week 1 were the most rushing yards by CC since week 1 of the 2008 season when CC rolled up 440 yards on the ground against Lake County, TN.
Dylan Hollis's 78 yard TD run was the 17th longest in school history and longest ever against by a CC player against Todd County Central.  It was the longest TD run since an 81 yard TD run by Charlie Johnson last season at Caldwell County.

With the 209 yards passing by Nick Castiller, he now has 1,002 yards passing for his career. That total ranks him 12th on the career passing yards list.

The 618 total yards were the most for a Rocket Offense since 1994 and probably ever for a CC team!
