9 and 1
The last 9-1 regular season occurred 20 seasons ago in 1999.
9-1 regular seasons have only happened four times (1985, 1996, 1998, and 1999).
Crittenden County is currently ranked 7thin the class A AP poll.  In 1999, CC ended the season ranked 9thin the AP poll and in 1998 CC ended the season ranked 8thin the AP poll.
When this year’s team goes 9-1, they will have lost their only game of the season the 2ndearliest of all the 9-1 teams.  The 1985 team lost in week 2 and this year’s team lost in week 3.
With a 9-1 record, Coach Thompson would have the best start to a football coaching career at Crittenden County.  The second best inaugural season would be 1991, Al Starnes, at 6-5.
