Rockets fall to No. 7 in state poll

Crittenden County dropped two places to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press High School Football Poll.

The Rockets were ranked No. 5 in Class A last week before falling 36-14 to Caldwell County, the fifth-ranked team in Class 2A.

The Tigers stayed at No. 5 in their division in this week's poll, which was released statewide today.

Crittenden County was ranked No. 8 in preseason, but won its first three games to climb higher in the polls.

When Caldwell and Crittenden played Friday at Rocket Stadium it was the first time they'd ever met with both teams ranked in the Top 5 of their respective divisions.
