Crittenden County senior Tyler Boone was selected to the Louisville Courier-Journal All State Team, announced this week.
Boone was chosen as a Third Team linebacker.
He was the first Crittenden County football player to earn All State honors since Josh Cozart, who was a Third Team selection in 1999.
Crittenden County senior Braxton Winders, punter, and junior Dylan Yates, defensive lineman, were named Honorable Mention.
Boone has also recently announced that he will accept an offer from Murray State University as a preferred walk-on with the Racers. Crittenden County’s all-time leading tackler had a host of other colleges and universities courting him through the recruiting process, including University of Indianapolis, Centre, Kentucky Wesleyan, Morehead State, Bethel, Hanover, Mount St. Joseph, Rose-Hulman and Wabash.
