Record Breaker Watch

MITCHELL BROWN

  • Last week, Mitchell Brown shattered the 22-year-old record for the most extra points in a season by a sophomore. He made his 20th successful PAT, surpassing the previous recordholder, George Congenie (2003), who had 19. Brown is now at 22 PATs on the season.
  • Brown is also poised to set a new record for the most accurate kicking season by a sophomore. His current accuracy stands at 22 out of 24 PATs (91.7%). George Congenie holds the previous record with a 76.0% accuracy rate (19 out of 25).
  • When Brown attempts his next extra point, it will be the 22nd time a Rocket kicker has attempted at least 25 PATs in a season. The recordholders for PATs in a season are Parker Johnson (2018) and Noah Perkins (2019) with 53 each. Brown's 25 attempts would also tie him for the most PAT attempts as a sophomore (George Congenie, 2003).
