Former Rocket football player T.K. Guess is in preseason camp at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Ky.Although the team has not released its 2008 roster, we talked with Guess last week and he was preparing for the start of workouts Friday. At Campbellsville, Guess joins former Crittenden County QB Sean Thompson, who is senior wide receiver. Another former Rocket, Jacob Courtney, was playing at Campbellsville last year, but is not returning this fall.
Guess, 20, graduated from Crittenden in 2006 and was widely considered a top prospect coming out of high school. He went to Western Kentucky University and joined the Hilltoppers, but dropped out of school in less than a year.
Guess says he has a new outlook and plans on sticking with football at Campbellsville. He is projected as a defensive back. At Crittenden, Guess holds several school records, including those for receiving and interceptions.
