Grant Gardner has opened the season with three consecutive 100+ yard rushing performances.  This is the first time that a Rocket RB has rushed for over 100 in the first three games of the season since David Beverly did just that to start the 1997 season.

The 23 first downs racked up by the Rockets last week were the most by a Rocket offense since week 9 of the 1998 season when CC beat McLean County 49-14.

Last week's rushing total of 324 yards was the most by CC since the opening round of the playoffs in 2009 when 348 were tallied.

The 60 rushing attempts by the CC offense were the most since 2001.  In week 9 against Fulton City, CC ran the ball 68 times.

CC has rushed 155 times this season.  The last CC team to run the ball more times in its first three games was the 2001 squad that ran the ball 161 times.
Grant Gardner (24) is the first Rocket running back to rush for 100 or
more yards his first three games of the season since David Beverly.

This is only the second time since 2003 that the Rockets have allowed fewer than 10 points in two of their first three games.  In 2009, CC allowed 7 and 6 points in week 1 and 2, respectively.

CC has scored in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters of all three games so far this season.  Since 1997, the only other time this has happened is 2009.

For the 2012 season, CC leads scoring in the third quarter over its opponents 28-6.

CC is currently averaging 243.3 yards per game running the ball. The last time CC average more rushing yards a game for a season was 1998 when the Rockets averaged 270.8.

Brenden Phillips (88 yards), Jacob Yound (59 yards), and Dylan Hollis (46 yards) all set new career highs for rushing yards in a game last week versus Union County.

The 29-point margin of victory tied the largest margin of victory over a  Union County squad.  The other 29-point win by CC was in 2002, 41-12.
