- The 1,285 passing yards through the first eight games of the season for Nick Castiller are the most passing yards ever for a Rocket QB in the first eight games of a season.  Austin Berry passed for 1,220 in 2005 and 1,161 in 2004
- Nick Castiller had his seventh, 100+ yard passing game of the season which is the second most ever in a single season.  The single season record holder for most 100 yard passing games in a season is Austin Berry with 10 (2004).
- Nick Castiller is the second Rocket Quarterback to have two career touchdown passes of 75 yards or longer.  Brad Gilbert accomplished the feat as well.

Other Notes
- The Rockets scored 93 points in the past two games.  The last time CC has scored that many total points in two back-to-back games was week 7 and 8 of the 2010 season when CC scored 61 and 48, respectively.  The 61-point game was also the last time the Rockets scored 50 points in a single game.
 -  The CC Defense has held Fulton City and Fulton County to a combined 3 total rushing yards.  The last is the lowest rushing total for two consecutive opponents since 1994.  The previous low during that period was 23 yards in 2008.
- The 179 total yards allowed in the past two games are the lowest consecutive game total since week 7 and 8 of the 2010 season.  147 total yards were allowed during those two weeks.
- The 44-point victory was the largest away from Rocket Stadium since week 8 of the 2010 season versus Fulton County when the Rockets won 61-8, a margin of 53 points.
- Ethan Hunt intercepted two passes in a single game.  The last time a Rocket player had more interceptions in a single game was 2007 against Fulton County (Jeramie Sorina, 3).
- The 82-yard TD pass from Nick Castiller to Seth Birdwell is tied for the sixth longest TD pass in school history.  The other 82-yard TD pass was in 1989 from Brad Gilbert to Jerry Jessup against Ballard Memorial.

 2016 District Opponent Review
- Russellville (7-1) – The Panthers secured a first round home playoff game with their 70-24 win over Fulton City.  Russellville had 554 yards rushing which included seven rushing touchdowns.  The Panther defense did allow 213 yards through the air to Fulton City.
- Fulton City (1-8) – The Bulldogs lost to Russellville, 24-70.  They are now the third place district team.
- Fulton County (0-8) – Lost to CC 6-50 and has secured a last place finish in the district.  The Pilots have Halls (TN) coming to Hickman this week.  Halls is 5-3 on the year and beat Fulton City, 34-8, earlier this season.
