At A Glance: Week 3 Caldwell County

WEEK 2 REVIEW - MADISONVILLE-NORTH HOPKINS

  • With his 63 yard TD reception last week, Preston Morgeson is now the only player to have five career TD receptions of 50 yards or more.  He was in a tie with T.K. Guess with four prior to last week.
  • Luke Crider recorded his eighth career TD pass of 50 yards or more last week.  The only Rocket QB to have more TD passes of 50 yards or more is Austin Berry.  Berry has nine.
  • Madisonville had 69 rushing attempts in the game.  That is the most ever against Crittenden County.  The previous record was from 1997 against McLean County which had 68 attempts for 425 yards.  CC lost the game 14-21.
  • CC had six first downs versus Madisonville which was the second fewest by CC in the last 32 games.
  • The 21 first downs by Madisonville were the most by a CC opponent in the last 44 games.  The last game to have more first downs by an opponent was the 2017 matchup with Ballard Memorial in which they had 23 first downs.  Ballard Memorial won 74-70.
  • CC had (-17) rushing yards last week.  The record for the fewest rushing yards in a game is (-25) in 1969 versus Russellville.
  • The 79 offensive plays ran by Madisonville were the second most offensive plays ever ran by an opponent.  84 plays were ran in 2018 Ballard Memorial Game (37 rush, 47 pass).  The final score was CC 58, BM 28.
  • CC has allowed more rushing yards by an opponent than it did last week (338 yards) only once in the past 53 games (348, Kentucky Country Day, 2019).
  • CC passed for 241 yards last week.  The last time a Crittenden County team passed for at least 200 yards and lost was the 2017 Ballard Memorial game.  CC passed for a school record 447 yards in that game.
  • CC passed for three TDs while rushing for none last week.  That is the sixth time in school history a Rocket Team has passed for three or more TDs while rushing for none in a game.  CC is 1-5 in those games with the only win coming in 2018 versus Union County, 38-3.
