Fulton County Review
  • Crittenden County has not had a 100-plus yard rusher this season.  Records are available back to 1990 and in each season there has been at least one player rush for more than 100 yards in a game.
  • Sam Impastato forced two fumbles in the game last week.  Only three times has a rocket forced more fumbles in a game (Travis McKinney, 2014, Fulton City; Nathan Heady, 2001, Heath; Nathan Heady, 2001, Russellville).  Impastato’s two forced fumbles tied Lathen Easley (2018) for the most versus Fulton County.
Above: Nathan Heady only played one season for Crittenden County after transferring from Webster County.  Heady is the only person to have two games with three forced fumbles and he still holds the single season record for forced fumbles with eight.  In 2001, Heady was an ALL-WKC 1st Team selection as a defensive lineman, was an East/West All-Star Game selection, and was the district player of the year.

  • Preston Morgeson returned a punt 52 yards last week.  That is the second punt return of his career (both have been 50 yards or longer).  The only players to return at least two punts in their careers longer than 50 yards are Preston Morgeson, T.K. Guess, and J.D. Gray.  Morgeson’s return was also the longest punt return by a Rocket versus Fulton County.
  • Last week, CC completed two touchdown passes of at least 50 yards in the game with two different quarterbacks (Quinn Summers and Micah Newcom).  The only other time this has happened was in the 2020 versus Russellville in the playoffs with Luke Crider and Caden McCalister each threw a TD pass of 55 and 54 yards, respectively.
  • The TD pass by Quinn Summers (59 yards) is believed to be the longest ever by a freshman QB.
  • Micah Newcom was 13/15 last week which tied for the highest completion percentage in a game with 86.67%.  Mike Sutton also completed 13 of 15 passes against Fulton County (1972).  Sutton passed for 199 yards in the game and Newcom passed for 193 last week.
  • The 13 completions by Newcom and Sutton are also the most completions ever by Rocket QBs versus Fulton County.
  • Micah Newcom threw four TD passes against Fulton County last week which was only the 15th a Rocket QB has tossed at least four TD passes in a game.
  • As a team Crittenden had 8 rushing attempts in the game which is the fewest ever record for a game by CC.  The previous low was 11 attempts against Caverna in 2019.
  • Before last week, the last time CC had rushing for less than 40 yards and won a game was in 1965 versus Fulton City (34 yards).  The 11 rushing yards last week set a new record.
  • Crittenden County had four first downs last week.  The last time CC had less first downs and won a game was in 2003 against Muhlenberg North which was 229 games ago.
  • CC is averaging 92.4 yards rushing which is the lowest average since 1994 when CC rushed for 64.3 yards per game.
  • As a team, the Rockets are averaging 185.9 yards passing per game this season.  The only season we have averaged more yards passing per game was 2017 (212.9 yards passing per game).
  • The offense is average 278.3 yards per game which is the least since 2014 when CC averaged 226.0 yards per game.
