Random Notes

  • Preston Morgeson is the all-time leader for career receiving touchdowns with 24.  Ethan Dossett was the prior recordholder with 23.
  • Micah Newcom passed for 210 yards last week making it the fourth time this season Newcom has passed for over 200 yards in a game.  Nick Castiller (2015) holds the record for most 200-plus yard passing games in a season with five.
  • Kaleb Nesbitt has caught multiple passes in 15 consecutive games which is now the school record.  Before Nesbitt set the record, Ethan Dossett had 14 consecutive games with multiple catches.  Dossett also has the third longest streak with 10 as well.
  • Micah Newcom has had a completion percentage of 60% or more with at least 14 passing attempts in eight games this year.  No other Rocket QB has had more than five in a season.  Newcom would have a ninth game to count but it did not meet the minimum passing attempt requirement.
  • Micah Newcom is approaching breaking the single season record for total touchdowns scored in a season.  Newcom has scored 34 touchdowns (9 rush, 25 pass) this season which is the 3rd most in a single season.  Hunter Boone (2018) has 35 and the all-time leader is Hunter Boone (2017) with 36.  This category is also commonly referred to as “touchdowns responsible for.”
  • Briley Berry scored a 53-yard rushing touchdown against Fort Knox.  Berry’s TD is the only rushing touchdown this season over 50 yards in length.  In the last 20 seasons, the only times Crittenden County has not had a rushing TD over 50 yards are 2012 and 2017.
