ABOVE: Last week, Caden Howard (right) crossed the mark of 1,000 career receiving yards faster than any other Rocket in history.  He also became the co-owner of another statistical mark against Union County.  Read this week’s post to find out how Caden Howard tied a record set 23 years ago by defensive lineman, Lucas Mick (left, 1998-2001).

Head Coach, Tyler Brooks

• Tyler Brooks was promoted in April to the head football coach position at McCracken County High School.  He has been with the program since 2020, initially serving as an assistant coach and later as the offensive coordinator.  Brooks is a 2012 graduate of Henderson County High School and 2016 graduate of Georgetown College. He was a 2-time MSC All-Conference member and the 2015 Team Captain.

2024 Class 2A, District 1 Review

• Mayfield (1-1) – After losing to rival Graves County in week 1, Mayfield had a nice margin of victory over Hopkinsville.  Hopkinsville is now 0-2 following a 1-9 2023 season.
• Murray (1-1) – Murray took down a week Calloway County squad, 42-7.  QB Wyatt Robbins has thrown for over 550 yards and is completing 66.7% of his passes this season.
• Caldwell County (1-1) – Caldwell County ran into the buzz saw that is Madisonville-North.  Caldwell dropped the game 52-14.  Caldwell has reported no stats this season.
